It is time for the future

During the last three years, as we can see, the world economy has been undergoing a major test in all segments: industry, agriculture, service industry, even culture.

The corona virus has closed the door of direct communication between people, and it could be said that service industry, hotels and restaurants, are the ones that suffered the most severe consequences.

This begs a question of how to raise the business again? It is more than obvious that some people miss stays abroad, and at the same time, interest in going to nearby resorts is growing too. That means that the public’s interest in traveling and dining has not decreased at all.

It should also be noted that service industry is faced with another problem, which is a lack of manpower (workers).

What to do in this new situation and how to deal with the challenges? Close the door?

Going by the words of one official: “We are working to vaccinate over 80% of the hospitality staff. That’s the only way we can continue.” Certainly – NO! We need to look for, and find, new solutions, and they are within our reach.

QR codes

QR codes are not only the future, but the near future, the future that has begun.

There are many types of QR codes available today. Smartphones have brought QR codes to the center of public attention, and it is time to use them for digital marketing and organizing contactless and secure communication with customers.

Use of QR codes in the hotel industry has taken off significantly this year and is constantly being updated and improved, as more and more people use the QR codes for shopping, for boarding a plane, entering and staying in a hotel and mobile payment.

They create a possibility of faster and simpler services in restaurants, around the swimming pools, and other facilities that hotels offer.

Also, in-room amenities such as food and beverage ordering, laundry, ironing, and many other necessities are becoming increasingly digitalized by being connected to websites. The user only needs to scan the QR code and he/she will be automatically be directed to the service he/she wants. This allows less personal contact and a faster, simpler way of providing service to the guests.

Most of these innovations require small changes in the hotel room. These can be implemented quickly and easily.

The use of QR codes solves a well known problem of lack of manpower. It improves quality of services and reduces waiting time for various hotel services that use QR codes. Finally, use of QR codes makes hotel guests masters of their own time.
